The SZW Prophet GmbH is a medium-sized, owner managed business specialized in manufacturing of steel cables and bowden cables.
In the automotive industry they are often used to release door locks, the adjustment of comfort functions in seats or the actuation of the handbrake. In addition to the mainly automotive alignment our products are used in municipal vehicles and industrial trucks, furniture- & lighting industry, medical & rehabilitation products as well as in the agricultural sector. Annually more than 17 million cables and Bowden cable of various design and complexity are delivered to our international customers. To ensure fast response times we run our own tool shop do complete plant engineering (fixtures, machines, assembly lines) as well as the associated maintenance.
CAD design is mainly created in Catia V5, the exchange of data is possible with all popular formats and transmission paths. A close cooperation with the Technical University of Ilmenau and well-respected material testing laboratory allows us to offer you even complex constructions and validations. SZW Prophet GmbH can look back on a more than 75-year history in the field of the Bowden cable production.
